Kanye West teams up with acclaimed fashion filmmaker Ruth Hugben for his new music video for “Lost in the World” which features Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. The black and white video features some beautifully stark imagery and showcases why Mr. West is as unique as they come in the rap game.

“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.” – Samuel Beckett

London agency Hi-ReS! enlisted the skills of Maricor (from talented duo MaricorMaricar) to create a mural for their office. Inspired by a quote from Samuel Beckett, the resulting chalk mural gorgeously displays the words “Fail Better”.

Barnhaus have recreated the mural as a limited edition print of 100 which is unfortunately not for sale. The good news is though if you get in early and email Handsome Frank you may be able to get your hands on a copy for your studio/agency.

Alfonso Cuaron’s “Children of Men”, is a brilliantly executed film, and I was always very appreciative of the long takes that were embedded within it. The effort that goes into crafting them has always fascinated me, especially after I first saw Goodfellas and that great Steadicam shot in it.

Thankfully Refocused Media have cut up a video showcasing all of the long takes featured in “Children of Men”, some of them even even exceeding 90 seconds. That car scene still amazes me every time I see it.

Alfonso Cuaron has another film in the works called “Gravity” that stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. The sci-fi thriller is said to have a 17 minute long take at the start of the film. Can’t wait to see that!!

End of Watch is an upcoming crime/drama film directed by the writer of Training Day, David Ayer. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena as the two police at the centre of the story.

There’s plenty of buddy cop films out there but this one looks like it has something going for it with the “Cops” TV show vibe in some parts of the trailer.

The third official film trailer for the new take on Spider-Man has been released and it’s got a fair bit of new footage in it. You get a decent look at the Lizard and seeing new footage of the web-head swinging his way around the city never gets old.

While it would have been nice to see Raimi get another crack at Spider-Man, this new version doesn’t look too bad. In the end I’d rather have a Spidey film than not have one.

A nice little supercut by Duncan Robson, showcasing the always very cool looking three-point landing using footage cut from some well known films and games.

SoundWorks Collection come through again with this insightful video that goes behind the scenes to see how Skywalker Sound crafted the sounds for Marvels big blockbuster, The Avengers. It was interesting to see how they developed the voice of the Hulk as well.

Passion Pit return with the infectious track “Talk A Walk”, the first song from the upcoming new album Gossamer, which will be available July 24th.

Get nostalgic with some classic cameras recreated in this awesome pixel animation called “The Camera Collection”. The team that made the video comprised of Antonio Vicentini for animation, Billy Brown for illustration and Ben Hantoot who created the music.

After viewing this video demonstration, using specific hand gestures to speed up the process of text selection on the iPad, seems like a pretty good idea. I’m kind of hoping Apple takes notice and integrates it into the next iOS release.
