I had the chance to pop down and see the opening of twin sisters MaricorMaricar show “Turns of Speech & Figures of Phrase” at Mart Gallery. It was a great night and my photos don’t really do them justice so make sure if you’re in the area to check out the awesome pieces the girls did.

MaricorMaricar will be presenting Sewn and stitched, “Turns of Speech and Figures of Phrase” a typographic mixtape of lyrics borrowed from a line up of bands featuring Blondie, Paul Simon and Pavement.
Swapping pen and paper for needle and thread MaricorMaricar have created a compilation of hand crafted type. This series of stitched artworks are inspired by song lyrics misheard and mixed up.
